The Talent Lead will be responsible for managing the hiring and recruiting process, supporting the employee lifecycle, and fostering team culture at Lightning Labs. This role will actively source and screen candidates while working with functional leaders to understand resource requirements across the organization. They will also work with the VP of Business Operations to create, implement, and iterate on professional development and feedback programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hiring and people operations, a passion for nurturing team culture, and interest in bitcoin and Lightning.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Hiring and Recruiting
Build a pipeline of potential candidates through active outreach, sourcing, and networking
Work with the VP of Business Operations to engage with the community to source candidates and get the word out about open positions
Develop compensation programs, policies, processes, and systems based on industry best practices to ensure that Lightning Labs can attract, retain, and grow employees
Build a positive candidate experience throughout the intake, interview, and offer process
Review applications and screen candidates for relevant skills and culture
Ensure that Lightning Labs’ core values are integrated into the recruiting and hiring process
Expand and improve the remote onboarding process to make new employees feel apart of the team
People Operations
Help develop and support a vibrant team culture that is responsive to rapidly evolving work environments
Research compliance with international, federal, state, and local employment and compensation laws and regulations
Work with the VP of Business Operations to develop team performance and feedback processes
Maintain the Employee Handbook and develop new policies as needed
Oversee benefits and seek out opportunities to improve support for team members
Develop HR best practices with multi-state employment and international contractors
Work with the Operations team to manage media appearances and correspondence
Supervise event coordination for team in-person and virtual events
Location: Remote. US time zones highly preferred
Requirements:
2-5 years of experience in a talent acquisition or people operations role, preferably at a high-growth startup
Passion for working with people and ability to understand the human side of startups
Comfortable working with a distributed team across time zones
Preferred:
Passion for bitcoin and Lightning
Experience working with developer-oriented teams
Knowledge of legal and regulatory practices related to HR
