We are looking for a Project Manager to support the Latin America Lightning community and onboard new developers to the Lightning Network using Lightning Labs’ suite of dev tools. The LATAM Project Manager will work cross-functionally to help developers in local communities understand the latest features and opportunities available on the Lightning Network and with Lightning Labs’ products. The right candidate for this role is resourceful and willing to roll-up their sleeves to build a strong and connected community throughout LATAM. We are looking for someone who is unafraid to work through ambiguity and lean on a passion for relationship building and bringing new approaches to digital and physical engagement.
Build an engagement strategy that captivates partners, encourages use of the Lightning Network, and builds community across the ecosystem
Facilitate engagement with excitement and creative approaches. Create and execute programming with current Lightning Network users:
Keep partners updated about product launches, events, and roundtable sessions
Digital events (e.g., webcasts and roundtables) and in-person events
Engage with partners when they onboard to the Lightning Network by assisting throughout the onboarding journey by taking questions/coordinating responses, and returning feedback to relevant stakeholders to improve the welcome experience
Build a contagious network effect. Drive partner-to-partner engagement through various channels, events, and campaigns:
Craft strategies for Partner-to-Partner interaction through social platforms such as Twitter
Curate content including posts and surveys that engage the community and create new relationships
Tell our story to existing partners. Become knowledgeable about Lightning and actively engage in conversation with partners to support community development.
Be data centric to drive decisions. Monitor, analyze, and report out performance and use insights to inform decisions
Build and maintain local relationships with major regional ecosystem partners, e.g. exchanges, developer networks, accelerators, etc.
Be a local steward of the Lightning Network and Lightning Labs in Latin America.
We’re Looking For Someone Who Has
Proven community management experience with strong ownership and emotional intelligence.
Experience launching community initiatives (e.g. creating and hosting digital and in-person events, writing an email newsletter).
Familiarity with online platforms such as Twitter, Discord, Twitch, YouTube, Telegram, etc.
Strong understanding of bitcoin and Lightning communities and community-related current events
Be able to work flexible and stretched hours to interact with the bitcoin and Lightning communities as frequently as possible.
Native fluency in Spanish and Portugese.
